How do you put security on a database. I would like to set up passwords for
users and give them different levels of security. For example user1 will be
able to input the employees information, user2 will only run the payroll and
user3 will print reports only. How do I set up such a security so that some
options in my menus are disabled?

If I lose my database password can I open the database and see my programs
in a special way as this happenned to me yesterday. Luckily I had a backup
but it will be nice to know how do open it if I do not have a backup.
Thanks
Danh

I suggest you start by reading

Access security is a great feature, but it is, by nature a complex product
with a very steep learning curve. Properly used it offers very safe
versatile protection and control. However a simple mistake can easily lock
you out of your database, which might require the paid services of a
professional to help you get back in.

Practice on some copies to make sure you know what you are doing.
