We have a Windows 2000 server that had mirrored hard drives. The main hard
drive crashed and I was able to create a boot floppy and get booted off the
second hard drive. Now that I have replaced the drive I can't get the server
to boot off of the hard drive I still have to use floppy. What do I need to
do to boot back off of the hard drive.

Thanks for your help!

boot from your cd
and from the repair console, issue the command: fixmbr

it may also be necessary to issue the command: fixboot

Hi,
Now, when u have replaced the old hard drive with the new drive, did u
recreate the mirror? Can you list your boot.ini?

Yes I just got a Windows 95 start up disk off the net and ran fixmbr. I had
to also make a DOS partition on it and set it as Active. Then the Windows
2000 installed on C on the primary disk. The Primary disk cannot have a
boot sector on it for this to work.
