create database for customer list and info

I am trying to set-up a database for my customer list
which will include their names, addresses, phone numbers,
and special notation for birthdays and anniversaries,
etc. I also need my computer to notify me when one of the
special days are coming up.
Thanks to whoever can help me.

Have you considered using Outlook? You might already have it on your computer
if you have MS Office installed. It will do all that you want and much more
including dialing phone numbers and keeping a journal of your phone calls.

You can either use Microsoft Access, or some other database
application, to create your own custom database to do this, or you
could buy one of the ready-made contact management applications, like
Symantec's Act.
