Create a trust between 2 windows 2000 domains on a different physical location

We want to create a trust between 2 windows 2000 domains, both are
located on a different physical location.

This is the situation:

2 domains
2 different locations
1 router on each location

Does anyone has experience on setting this up and would like to share
the information with me.

As long as each domain has name resolution to the other (create secondary
zones DNS etc) then there should be no problem.

ensure that if you have a firewall between them that you open the following
ports.
