Create a batch file

I have MS XP Pro. I want to create a batch file on Desktop but it not
creating. When I Create a NotePad and Save it With (.bat) Ext. it not
Convert in Batch file

What i D?

Hi,

Save it as a .txt file, then right-click/rename it to .bat. Does this work?

Click Start > Run > Type 'control folders' [without quotes] > Go to View tab >
Uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types" > Click OK
