CRC error

Can somebody tell me what CRc error means.Every time i
and instal certain games it pops up

Hi Shaun,

Basically Cyclic redundancy checking is a method of
verifying that there's no errors in files that have been
downloaded, or that are being installed from media
devices such as installing a game. In other words, the
file is corrupt and has to be redownloaded, or the CD
media is dirty, scratched or defective. Sometimes but
not often antivirus software can cause those errors too.

I am having the same probelem. It just started recently.
I can't install any game because of this CRC error.
I don't have any idea what to do.

Hi,

If that's happening for every CD you try to install from,
then you most likely need to clean your CD player or
have it serviced unless an antivirus program (or a virus)
is causing that error to occur on your system.
