Kevin

am having a problem with crc and framing errors whenever
i send or recieve data from one perticular pc on my
network. have tried a new net card with the same results.
Have hard coded the port on the cisco switch to
100/full/portfast and hard coded my pc to run at 100/full
but still the same. even with with a minor 10 meg or so
file i will get tens of thousands of crc and framing
errors registering on the switch. have tried another port
on the switch but all other units are working fine. have
tried another switch as well but no luck. have changed
out the patch cables to known good ones. have checked for
virus and have none. have even reloaded from scratch on a
new hard drive and the same thing happens. I have a
regular need to send and recieve files that are nearly 5
gigs in size and with this problem it takes hours to do
and usualy errors out before it can ever finish. any help
would be greatly appreciated...thanks.

Usually Framing issues and CRC's are due to hardware issues. have you tried
moving the machine to a patch that you know is good and working? This could
be caused by noise on the wire or collissions ( are you seeing a lot of
Runts? ). You aren't uploading to a hub and then uplinking to the switch
correct?
