Crashing + error stating "reference memory could not be Read/Writt

My IE used to work perfectly with no hiccups since buying my computer more
than 2 years ago however 2 days ago when i started to use it, it kept
freezing up with random "reference to memory could not be "writen"/"read""
during normal browsing sessions.
The error stated:
The instruction at "0x77f57ec4" referenced memory at "0x732c706d". The emory
could not be "written".
Click OK to terminate the program.
Click on Cancel to debug.

I asked for more information on the error and this was the information, if
its of any use for someone who might know what's causing the problem:
AppName: iexplore.exe AppVer: 6.0.2800.1106 ModName: ntdll.dll

ModVer: 5.1.2600.1217 Offset: 00033905

I can also supply a Hijack This log if required, and I have checked through
the computer with Adaware, Spybot and Hijack This, as well was CWShredder.

Any help on this would be appreciated.

I think it started after I ran Windows Update last week and downloaded
several update patches. Could a recent update be causing the problem?

it might be possible, although it started round 2 days ago, and i have no way
of remembering what patches were installed.
