I recently installed XP on one of my computers and after
going on the internet for a while a window pops up saying
that something is not functioning and it counts down and
turns off my computer. but that doesnt happen anymore.
Now my computer just freezes randomly. What is causing
this?

To know the cause of such behavior:-
open control panel > administrative tools >open Event
viewer; here look for application errors.
you may also use Dr.Watson tool for crashing.
start>all programs>accessories>system tools>system
information>tools>select Dr.Watson
look at this location:-C:\Documents and Settings\All
Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Dr Watson\user.dmp
scan the system with latest vius definitioned antivirus
software/spyware
with regards/
ssg/pronetworks.org
