Crashes when adding mpg

the movie maker 2 crashes whenever i add mpg files to the
story board. it never used to do this, but now i can't do
anything. i have tryed uninstalling and reinstalling, but
it does the smae thing. anything i can do?

Playback/importing of MPEG2 content is completely dependant on the third
party MPEG2 decoder installed on your computer. Most do not work well. See
the Importing Video Files... Video Clips page
