Crashes After Logon

We have a Win2k server that crashes after any user logs on locally (on the server). It runs fine when no one logs on. When logging on remotely using "net use", I would get the error "logon failire: user has not been granted the requested logon type". Maybe not a virus as there's no "newgina.dll". But still we renamed the "awgina.dll" to *.old and copied "msgina.dll" to "awgina.dll" to make sure "msgina.dll" is loaded - but still it crashes
We can't log onto the server to check the registry. We have a way to access its file system through a 3rd party tool

Is there anyone who may have known this problem? The server runs on Win2k with SP2
Any help is very appreciated

Thanks

Remotely review the System event log and see what errors are occurring when
the system crashes. Are you experiencing a Stop error? If so what is the
text of the "Save Dump" command?

I can't review the event log remotely as I can't sign on remotely (using "net use")
Also, I tried the safe mode and also got the same problem - crash after I signed on.

Also, I don't get any blue screen nor stop error. It would just reboot like 5 secs after I log on.
