crash to desktop every time!!!

wmm2 crashes to desktop every time I try to do
anything... apply titles, transition effects, auto movie.

It happens every time without fail. I can open and play
my clips without any problems, but as soon as I start to
type a title the program crashes to desktop.

any ideas?
