press CTRL ALT DELETE at the same time (only once). this will bring up the
task manager. Click the Applications tab and note which applications are
running. Click the Processes tab and note any running Processes with a high
value under the CPU collumn. Post back here.
Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete to bring up the Windows Task Manager.
Go to the Processes tab and click twice on the CPU column header. That
will sort the listing into descending order based on CPU usage, with
the items using the most CPU time at the top.
Post a list of the 4 or 5 highest CPU usage processes (disregard
anything shown for the "System Idle Process") back here.
