Hi,

I have a P4 2.4Mz PC with WinXP and a 256MB RAM module in one slot -
Transcend.

I recently bought another 256MB RAM module, which says on the chip -
Cyrix. When I run the program CPU-Z ver1.26
(http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php), both my modules show as manufactured
by Transcend with the same manufacturing date! My PC seems to be
working fine with both these RAM modules.

Any idea how this is possible?

Thanks,
Derek

Have you sent this question to the makers of CPU-Z?

No, I thought there was something wrong with the RAM module.....

Well cover your bases... besides, this forum isn't set up for ram modules,
it's set up for windows xp questions.. get with the cpu-z people or the
memory people who made your module. You'll get better results.

Nothing to worry about.
