CPU usage by Windows Mail program

Real example:
While converting a movie and running several other programs including web
browser online (in Windows Vista Premium), CPU usage runs bellow 50 % (Intel
Core Duo processor). THEN, ---> Windows Mail turned on. !!!!!!! CPU usage
shoots to 100% (both cores) and not coming down. Any questions? Or rather
answers from Microsoft ? :)

You can check event viewer to see what the database engine is doing (ESENT).
Sometimes its making a backup and sometimes its clearing log files. It
shouldn't be active all the time though. It might be 3rd party programs
kicking in such as antivirus and others that interfere. You might check
task manager as well.

For the last few months, I haven't seen any signs that someone from
Microsoft
is reading this newsgroup. Hope that they've already released a fix and
that one
of the volunteers here knows where to find it.

Obviously that's not normal, and not what most of us are experiencing.
Which third party security software are you running? Some of those
are not compatible with Windows Mail.
