CPU Usage Bounce

When attmpting to playback AVI's recorded from our Digital Camera (Canon S3)
the CPU usage bounces from 11% to 100% throughout creating break-ups and drop
outs.

All other AVI's, DVD movies, mpeg's, even full 1080i HD clips play fine.
I've shutdown all other processes, used different players, even re-loaded XP
from scratch with no improvement. I'm running XP sp2 with P4 2.8 with 1gb of
ram. I tried the same AVI's on an inferior PC (P4 1.6 with 512mb ram) and
they worked fine.

I'm not sure what else to do... any help would be appreciated!

Try adjusting the recording options on your canon S3 camera, I'm not sure the
frame rate can be adjusted. try saving the video to MPEG format as well to
help isolate the problem. Another option is that the codec you are using to
decode the video from the camera may need to be updated and your video
playback system is using an outdated codec.

Hope this helps
