CPU Usage at 100%

Whenever I run Kazaalite or Trillian my CPU Usage jumps to 100%

I am running XP ProSP1 amd 1600mhz processor with 512 mb ram.
 
Update the programs, scan for virus', contact makers of programs if problems
still occur.
