CPU fan speed running low low low!

I have A'64 3700+ and A8N-SLI Mobo, at boot up the CPU fan will sometimes be
below 800rpm. It's now happening more often than not. Once in Windows it
gets to about 1125 (that's what it is right now). Current temps: CPU 37,
System 34.

Is this ok? Right now it gets pretty cold over here (Melbourne, Australia)
overnight...I'm fairly sure it's not a dud fan, as it can spin up to higher
revs.

The fan speed changes depending on the CPU temperature, on my workstation
it's off most of the time. If you go into the BIOS you'll find an option
which allows you to set the temperature thresholds for the CPU fan. You
can also turn the feature off if you want.

Yes, it's fine. The fan on my 3400+ is running at 715rpm as I type, that in
a (for England) hot summer. As long as it's stable, it doesn't matter what
the fan speed is.
