CPU acting up

I have been having problems with my computer recently. its been acting up and
restarting. It could be on for a while then all of a sudden it would restart.
and now when i do turn off the computer it sometimes wont let me start
normally.

have you added any hardware recently? Look in your event log for any errors.
Start>control panel>administrative tools>event veiwer post them here. Do you
get a blue screen when windows shuts down?
check your power connections...

No i havent added anything new and i do not get the blue screen but when
trying to restart it goes back to the beggining and tries to restart and send
me into those options because of a failure. when i do go into the error
viewer what exactly am i lookin for. any other ideas. thanks for the input.
