Count No. found for each month

I looked through the posts for an example of this formula, but don't see
anything usable. I would like to count the number of times a number shows
up column B for everytime the month of July appears in column A.

example:
cA cB cC
07/05/04 4387
08/08/04 58
01/05/04 34
05/02/04 34
07/03/04 2345

Totals:
jan 1
feb
mar
apr
may 1
jun
jul 2
