I can connect to the internet. But the LAN doesn't work, I need file sharing
and printer sharing. the network is ok if I can connect to the internet,
isn't it?
So the only cause remaining is the LAN problem.
I have correctly typed in the IP and DNS addresses, also file sharing and
printer sharing is enabled and all protocols were setup correctly. How come
I got access privilege problem. We are peer-to-peer network here. And I
can't send files to other computers and printers on the LAN....
Thanks for any hints
Jack

Resert both of the computer In Safemode with Networking then try to access.
Q : How to Start Computer in Safe mode with Networking?
A : Restart The Computer and The Moment Computer starts Booting Keep Tapping

Jack,

Here are a few websites with useful tutorials on setting your LAN up properly:
http://www.cablesense.com/
http://www.homenethelp.com/
http://www.practicallynetworked.com/
http://www.wown.com/

If these are no help, we can diagnose the problems. Please start by providing
ipconfig information for each computer.
Start - Run - "cmd". Type "ipconfig /all >c:\ipconfig.txt" into the command
window - Open c:\ipconfig.txt in Notepad, make sure that Format - Word Wrap is
NOT checked!, copy and paste entire contents into your next post. Identify
operating system (by name, version, and SP level) with each ipconfig listing.
