Couldn't empty the recycle bin

I'd just gone thru some housekeeping of the file of the hard drive and
deleted some file I thought no usable
It come out that I couldn't empty the recycle bin with an error message that
some server file couldn't be found/missing. ( I couldn't remember the exact
words)

Any clue on repairing this?

Did you try restoring all your files and trying to permanently delete them
from the original location?? .. i.e. hold down the shift key and hit delete
....

Create a new text file (or any type of file -- it's only temporary), drag it
to the bin, then try emptying the bin again. If that fails, quote the exact
error message you see when it fails.
