.... beed 'out of' the scene awhile.. what happened to the 7800GT??
Thought I'd buy another for SLi and they're gone!

The 7900 happened.

I can't remember for sure, but I think the move from 7800 to 7900 was mostly
a die shrink, which meant that nvidia could produce the chips cheaper.
Hence, they would no longer want to produce the 7800.

Newegg still carries the 7800gt
