Hi Experts...

I am working at office and remotely. When I am in the office I could
see all pcs in the network and shared drives. But when I connect the
office network from a remote location via VPN connecetion I could see
only my computer in the domain.
If I search for a computer by entering a name into searc window. I can
see it.

Please help me to be able to see all computers during VPN connection
as I do during LAN caonnection.

My Server iis SBS2003
My PC is Sony Vaio PCG-X1SP Laptop

Thanks in advance

NetBios does not traverse subnets. At work, you can browse the network
because NetBios is available.

Does your work have a WINS server? If so, set the address of the WINS
server in your VPN connection to the WINS server at work.

Otherwise, you will just have to search for computers on the work
network from the VPN.

This free scanner may help to locate resources on the work site through
the VPN:

I have a similar problem, but I am connecting to a friend's home computer
from my home, and I cannot use the name to find the computer - I have to use
the ip address, then it is found. How do I set things up so it will
recognize the computer's name?
