Could not find a driver for Generic Volume ??

When a import my pmq file in the Component Designer, I
always get this warning. I talked to my hardware vendor
and they have no idea what this means, they don't see it
in their site. I think I have all the QFEs for the
Component Database, but I might be wrong. Anybody has any
idea what this is or how I can get rid of it ?

thanks in advance for your time.

There is no need to worry about this message. I got the
same message when I imported my PMQ as well. I didn't do
anything with this error message, and my images are
running fine out in the field. This is not a major
issue. Are you having any problems with your image?

i can report similar results although my images aren't in the field
yet.

it would be nice to know why this message is being created though, as
it does sound slightly hackish.

There is no driver for that device, it's a software enumerated device listed
in the registry of full Windows and serves no purpose, but it winds up in
the PMQ because it's under the Enum key. You can ignore that error <grin>

Thanks.
