Could not exit outlook program

Some of outlook2000 client cannot exit outlook sucessfully. when close
outlook, a window of outlook is appear and say "Ms-outlook is shuting down
now". This window will be here all the day unless the user to end the outlook
process by manual from windows Task management.. What's problems can resule
in this problem and how to resolve it ?? Thanks a lot....

What type of mail account is involved? Reason I ask is that I've seen this
behavior in an Exchange environment when Outlook 2000 & 2003/2007 access the
same mailbox/calendar. Starting Outlook with the /cleanfreebusy helps, but
the ideal would be to get everyone to the same version of Outlook.
