Windows XP/SP1
Four of the standard windows screen savers freeze my
computer (3D Flower Box, 3D Flying Objects, 3D Pipes, 3D
Text). This just started recently. If I select either of
these I have to use CTRL-ALT-DEL to kill the task. The
other screen savers work okay. I have run disk checker
and it reports no bad files or sectors & Norton Antivirus
says no viruses. Can I re-install these screen savers?
How?

Hi William,

Go to Start/Run and type in: dxdiag

If it points to Direct Draw you may want to consider replacing your card.

If not or either way, check your settings for antialiasing, which is used
with/for Direct3D and OpenGL programs. It usually defaults to 2X or 4X, set
it to No antialiasing and reboot.

Good luck and keep us posted.
