corrupted registry - cdrom drives

hi
im having problems with my cdrom drives. i am unable to
use my cdrom drives. i have checked the device manager and
it says that ther registry may be corrupted [code 19]. i
am not sure how to fix it. i have a hitachi dvd-rom gd-5000
i have the windows 2000 service pack 4. plz help me

Did you try at MS?
"cd-rom code 19"
in a KB search turns up several articles.
The _exact_ error message and what you've done recently (add or remove:
a CD/DVD device; burning software; other software updates; etc.)
would help to pin it down.
