Corrupted profiles

I have an issue where all profiles on this computer except mine are corrupt
and have multiple error messages and script errors. All are administrators.
Creating a brand new profile has the same issues. Will reinstalling XP
correct this? Or has someone else experienced this and has advice?

Already tried this, but any new created profile already has the same issues
right from the start even without transferring any data.

Then it's likely the "Default User" is corrupted. This is the template
profile that is cloned for each new user on a XP computer.

What is the best way to correct this?

It's a situation I've never had to deal with. The Default User has
a Registry Hive module ( NTUser.Dat ) and I can't say if it has
any machine specific information inside of it. Copying it from a
different XP Machine might make things worse. I would probably
consider a repair or in-place upgrade on your existing setup. The
only downside to that is the need to re-apply updates or the new
Service Pack 3.

The following site has some excellent help/instructions on how
to do a Repair install:
