corrupted or damage inbox folder

I would like to ask for some help on how to restore or
rebuild a damage inbox folder for OE6.
I believe that what cause the problem is when the pc froze
with OE6 open and did a restart. After opening OE again
the the inbox was empty. I tried copying the inbox file
to another folder and imported it back but dialog box says
not able to restore some files with errors and just
finished the process. Opened OEg again it diplayed new
emails but not able to show old ones that were there
before the problem happened. Is their any utility that
can repair the damaged .dbx file?
