Corrupted Internet Connection Wizard in Win2K Pro.

My Internet Connection Wizard under Network and Dial-up
Connections is corrupted. It would not allow me to make a
new connection. It wants to close before the setup is
finished by prematurely saying, ".... Wizard is not done.
Do you want to really exit?" I click NO.

The same message comes up again, and the cycle repeats as
I work with the first two options in it!

With the third option of setting up a connection manually,
it goes up to where it suggests a name for the connection.
I accept the neme but it comes back saying, ".... invalid
name ...." Any and all names are rejected the same way.

What can I do to fix this, short of re-installing Win 2K
Pro?

There are a few things you can try. First, with the Win2k installation disc use the Repair feature. This might get you back to the default. Be sure to back up you Favorites first. Second, uninstall IE from the Add/Remove Windows components, reboot and Add it back in. This too will require the installion disc.
