Corrupt Terminal Services CAL on Mac OS X

T

Todd Ouimet

I have a Mac OS X that can no longer connect to a Windows
2000 Terminal Server. Everytime I try I get an event ID
1003 - "The terminal service client '%1' has provided an
invalid license." within the System Log on the Win2k TS.
According to Microsoft all you have to do on a Windows PC
is:

To correct this, delete the following registry key from
the client device's registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \Software
\Microsoft \MSLicensing \HardwareID. After this key has
been deleted, the terminal server will be able to request
the license again from the license server and re-issue it
to the client device.

The only problem is the corrupt CAL is on a Mac OS X
system which of course does not have a registry.

Can someone please help ASAP!!!!

Thanks in advanced,

Maybe this can help:
Here's a part of a previous post about licenses on Macs:

RDC on OS X stores license information in the directory
"/Users/Shared/Microsoft/RDC Crucial Server Information". The
cause of my problem is that RDC doesn't set permissions correctly
on this directory. So long as the user that originally ran RDC is
the one running the current session, all is well. But if another
user on the machine tries, it doesn't work.

The directory "/Users/Shared/Microsoft/" is owned by whichever
user first ran RDC, and by the group "wheel" On OS X, all users
are a member of the "wheel" group, unless they are explicitly
excluded. The problem is that "wheel" doesn't have write
permissions in "/Users/Shared/Microsoft/" or any of its
subdirectories.
