corrupt recycle bin

Running windows XP. Three people have access to the computer with three
different log-ons. Everytime I delete a file I get Recycle bin corrupt
message, do you want to empty recycle bin? Each of my kids account's recycle
bin work fine. I noticed that the properties under my account does not hace
the C: tab, only Global and D:. The kids have all three tabs. Also when I
delete the item doesn't show up in the recycle bin. Ive looked at
Kelly's-Korner and cant seem to find the fix. I think sonehow I need to
re-add the C: drive tab to my recycle bin.

Thanks
john

Well since you have Windows XP, I would would delete the account with the
corrupted recycle bin and create a new one.

Hi John,

See if this helps:

This seems to work for many: Make sure that something is in the Recycle Bin
(delete any file). With the Recycle Bin closed, right click and choose:
Empty Recycle Bin. When the confirm box appears, click ok. Reboot. Now the
Recycle Bin should work correctly.
