corrupt PST (40mb) now has errors

Hi lads,

I have a corrupt pst, its 40 MB so i started to scan it with the hope of
fixing it.
while running the scan tool it has gave me the following error : An error
has occoured which has caused the scan to be stopped. no changes have been
made to the scanned file.

now is this un-fixable?

is there another tool to scan pst's?

im sure i read some where that there was...a can anyone help?

Scanpst is the only tool there is. If you don't have a backup copy (of a
good PST file) your data is likely gone.
