Hi All, hope you had a good New Year!

Hoping you guys out there can help with this strange Active Directory
related problem???

I have searched many places and have found little related to this
issue.

We are running a W2K Server with SP4. The system runs well and has no
errors in the event log except for the inevitable userenv errors.

We were backing up our working data, Excel and Word etc and databases
onto CDRW but as we have expanded we needed something to backup across
the network. We loaded BackupExec on the system and this has been
failing when backing up the System State, bear with me this is still
AD related....

Veritas suggested running NT Backup to see if this worked. When we
did this NT Backup closed itself when it gets about a third of the
way through.

The error that NT Backup reports points to a problem with the Active
Directory

Is there any tools that you could point me in the direction of to try
and test the integrity of the AD or do you think I'm on the wrong
track???

Thankyou and Best Regards

Rich
