I have a frustrating System error message, "cannot read drive a", that
comes up not once but twice, like every time I do a cold boot. I click on
'cancel' and the second time it goes away. I had this problem before when I
first loaded Windows XP. After several months or putting up with the
inconvenience I decided to try to fix the problem, by formatting the drive
the OS was on. I copied all of my storage files from the master drive to
the slave drive and reconfigured the master drive and reloaded Windows XP
and moved the files back to the master drive. This seemed to eliminate the
problem the first time but it has started again. I have not loaded any new
programs, just the usual windows upgrades and virus signatures and updates
from my virus protection application.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you
