correcting album release date

Somehow, the cuts from at least one album have picked up
a release date from the wrong decade. I know how to fix
track-by-track manually, but can't I force an automatic
change?

when I tell WMP9 Search to update & overwrite existing
info for existing tracks in my library, I would expect
that to do the trick...but it doesn't. (The AMG profile
pane shows the correct date.)

Try opening wmp,tools,options,check the box,allow wmp
to search the internet to update info.
