Copying permissions

Ok here is the situation. We have this shared folder that
has all of our projects drawings in. We set a new folder
in there to be a template. With different permissions
then the project scanning folder when we copy this folder
and rename it we want all of the permissions to come with
it but right now it is going to the default permissions
on the entire folder. How can I get the permissions of
this folder to copy along with it?
