Permission Listing Tool

Hi,

When we access a Windows 2000 Server (from Windows Explorer or My Network
Places) in our Windows 2000 Domain AND see all the network-shared folders
that a particular server has, we need an application or a utility that can:
1. list all the sub-folders and files within a network-shared folder, and
2. show the permissions of each subfolder within that network-shared folder.

We need to see who (network group or network user) has access to our network
folders.

Does anyone know any application or utility that can do that?

Thank you,
IK

Hi

This one might be an option:

DumpSec (formerly known as DumpAcl)
Free, has command line interface as well

That tip requires "RmtShare". Can you tell me where to get that? It's
not on my Win2K machine. Thanks.

Hi,

On Microsoft's FTP server:
ftp://ftp.microsoft.com/bussys/winnt/winnt-public/reskit/nt40/i386/RMTSHAR.EXE

If Microsoft's ftp server is gone (where RMTShare.exe is/was available
for download), a copy is to be found here (I did a binary compare with
the RMTShare.exe that previously available on the FTP server, and it
is the same file):
