I had saved a pst file from my office pc. I had the calenders, contacts and
task folders in it. how can i transfer the folders into my pc at home? i want
information the be copy into the folder itself. i don't want it to copy as a
subfolder. i try importing only the calender had the information inside my hm
pc. but the other files did not. a subfolders was created instead. how can i
copy into the respective folders?

See MS Knowledgebase Article Q287070 for Backing-Up, Importing, Exporting -
In Outlook 2002 I'd go to File/Import-Export/Import from Another
Program-File/Personal File Folder(pst)( allows Browse to select Source of the
Import) - Didn't go further but hope it's instinctive - Good Luck.

It's neither instinctive nor correct. Contrary to the article, importing is
a poor choice for transferring Outlook data. Indeed you've just seen one
example of that. There are lots of others, including the amount of data that
is lost when you import.
Instead the PST file should simply be opened in Outlook. Then you can copy
what you want from directly to the place you want it in your current PST
file. When you're done, close the PST file you copied.

NEVER import native Outlook data. Open the .pst file and use drag and drop
to move the data from one .pst file to the other.
