copying images

I used to be able to copy a jpeg or gif image from the
internet by just right clicking, selecting copy, and then
pasting it where i wanted. but now it will only let me
save them as bitmap images...

That happens when the Temporary Internet Files are too full. In IE click
Tools | Internet Options. Click Delete Files in the Temporary Internet
files section of the General tab. On the nest window place a check mark in
the box to Delete all offline content.
