Is it possible to connect two pc's via usb or ethernet
(RJ-45) cable, so I'm able to copy files off of each
computer?
The file sizes in total will be about 1-1.5Gb. I haven't
got a DVD-R, only CD and I didn't want to waste CD's.

Thanks

Nick

If both have Ethernet, use a "crossover" cable (about 5 quid). You'll need
to give permissions on one machine to one user on the other, and set up
sharing on at least one folder.

If you only have USB, then you can get a special USB-terminated cable with
an explorer-like interface so you can drag files from one machine to the
other. Alternatively, buy a USB-Ethernet adapter to use with a crossover
cable.
