COPYING EXCEL FILES TO CD

I'm trying to back up my excel files to a CD, but always get this
message..."Windows encountered a problem when trying to copy this file. What
do you want windows to do?" the size of the file is 198KB.... The message
does NOT say what the problem is? Can anyone help? I HAVE to back up this
file.

I am using windows XP

Open the 'this file' in Excel. Click 'File' then 'Save As'. When asked
where to save, just type in a different file name. Delete the original
file then try your backup again.
