Copying a file

Dan E

Using FP2003, unless my memory is playing me tricks I'm pretty sure I used
to be able to use normal copy and paste (or drag and drop) to move files to
and fro between Windows Explorer and a web site open in an FP window. Now I
can't - when I right click to paste, all I get is a paste shortcut option.
Am I mistaken, and that's not something we can do with FP? Or maybe
senility is creeping up on me? :)

Do a drag and drop, not a copy an paste

Thomas - drag and drop doesn't work either - right or left button - all I
get is shortcuts to the remote file or folder. I'm using XP Pro SP2. Any
thoughts?

TIA,

Dan,

Running FP2003 SP1 under Windows XP SP2, I have no problem select a Word document, text file or a
jpg image on my desktop and dragging it to FP Folder List View and dropping it on the root of the
web folder icon.

OK - that's the difference - I'm dragging from a remote web site open in FP
to an instance of Windows Explorer, and I can only get a shortcut. Going
the other way works OK (from Explorer to FP).

Weird, huh?

Dan.

Thomas - off-topic - is there a newsreader with a little more functionality
than Outlook Express you can recommend? I'm looking for something that I
can set to auto-notify me of replies etc., and I notice you get back pretty
quickly, so may have such a beast! Any suggestions much appreciated.

TIA,

Dan

I only use Outlook Express, so I can't help with any other choices. I have OE open and checking for
message every 5 minutes or less.
