copy user profile

Hi,

I have a new XP Pro box.
I have been trying to copy an doamin user's profile from the old 2k box to
this new XP box.
I share the Documents And Settings folder in the new XP box.
And then I logon to the old box as local admin and trying to copy the user
profile to the new XP box.

What I get is:

"Failed to set security on the destination profile error - Access is
denied."

So, I logon to the old box as domain admin but I get the same error.

I have been searching Google but found nothing helpful.
Would you guys tell me what is going on please?

Thanks!

There is a tool called Files and Settings Tranfer Wizard.

Use this on the old PC and import the settings into the XP machine.

CLick on Help and Support and search for Files and Settings Tranfer Wizard,
then work through it.

Wow! Thanks! Didn't know there was something like that in XP.

Now... Do you know how to do this 28 times without going physically to each
of the 28 computers?

If you're doing this on a large scale, you might want to look into
using the USMT - User State Migration Tool.
