Copy User Accounts to Another Domain - DIAMOND

Anyone could help me plz?

My customer had a Windows 2000 active directory domain, let say abc.com
Some servers become domain controllers in that domain, some others are
just act as member servers.

They are now starting a new business, and want me to create a new
domain, xyz.com
I am installing a server with Windows 2000 Standard server. I promote
it as a the first domain controller of xyz.com

What is the quickest and easiest way to copy user accounts from abc.com
domain to xyz.com domain. Those two domains are exactly in different
forests.

Use Active Directory Migration Toolkit (ADMT v3). It has all the abailities
to move accounts and permissions to resources. So as you move a user from
one domain to the other it will keep pointers (SIDHistory) to the old domain
so as you are going through the steps users have access to the file server,
etc.. that haven't been migrated and once they have been moved you don't
have to rebuild the permission ACL's.

The one thing you will have to do is build a trust between the two domains.
Since both are Windows 2000 this should be a pretty easy process for you to
do.

The link below is for 2003 trusts but it should be pretty much the same for
2000
