Your email client is apparently set to send mail in plain text. Change
that to HTML or to Rich Text.

Only questions for now.

What is your email client?

*What* stopped? Can you not copy and paste them at all, or when you
paste them, do the characters paste, but not as bold or underlined?

What e-mail client do you use? In what format are you sending
messages? If it used to be html, but you changed to plain text, and
you lose the bolding and underlining, changing to plain text is the
reason. Plain text doesn't do that kind of formatting.
