Is there such a thing as free DVD copying software to back up my own DVD's?
I had NERO installed, but for some reason it now wont load at all, it says
'incorrect version of some files'. It was an original cd of Nero, but my
teenager lost it for me!
Thank you,

Assuming that your copy of Nero is legal & valid [sorry to bring this
up, but often the problem can be traced to cracked versions of Nero -
I'm just being thorough in my answer here], you should go to the Nero
site and get one of the freeware "clean tools" utilities.

http://ww2.nero.com/enu/Clean_Tools.html

Then reinstall.

Be sure to read directions in the Clean Tools file.

Of course, be sure to back up all files first, in case something goes
wrong.

Note: Nero won't "backup" commercial DVD's that have copy-protection
etc. schemes. For this you can either use shareware, like the combo
from Slysoft -- AnyDVD & Clone DVD -- www.slysoft.com

or

the freeware combo of:

DVD Decrypter
and DVD Shrink.

On how to use either set of utilities, head over to:
