DVD to DVD

I bought a DVD recorder last Christmas and transferred my VHS tapes to
DVD. I would like to make copies for other family members from these
DVD's on my computer. Any freeware that will make one copy to another?
I tried NERO but it would not let me do this saying error of some
sort. I tried several times but each time it said error. I can play
the DVD on my computer and all I would like to do is just make another
copy on my computer. Please help me. Thanks Lynne

Try DVDShrink, but the error may prevent you from making a copy.
"Error of some sort" doesn't help us to help you.

You can use "DVD Decrypter" (899Kb)
http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/DVD_Decrypter/1011845169/1
to create a Image file (ISO) from your DVD to your harddrive
and then burn the ISO to a new DVD disc with "DVD Decrypter"
or with "ImgBurn" http://www.imgburn.com (836Kb) or with "Nero"

or

you can use "ImgTool Classic"
http://coujo.crion.de/Classic_0.91.7.zip (793Kb)
to create a ISO file from the DVD to your harddrive and then
burn the ISO file to a new DVD disc with "DVD Decrypter" or
with "ImgBurn" or with "Nero".

What prog did u use?
Does it copy from VCR player to computer?

I record the vhsa to the replaytv box, transfer the mpeg file to hard
disk using "dvarchive", and then save the mpeg to DVD disk using
"ones" (data file)

My dvd player will play a disk with a mpeg file... If you want to
make a standard dvd with all the support files (ifo etc) I do not knw

I use DVD Shrink to copy DVDs to DVD - it creates an image of the DVD on the
hard drive and if used with Nero 6 or above will automatically copy thsi
image to a blank DVD which you can watch on your TV or computer. It's
worked every time and is able to bypass any copy protection that's on the
original. The great thing also is that it will shrink a commercial DVD to
fit onto a standard 4.7gb disc - whereas many commercial ones are much
larger - with unnoticable loss of quality and full use of menus, etc. DVD
Shrink is freeware and you should be able to locate it with a simple search
in Google - it's a small file of about one and a half meg - but oh so
powerful!
