Copy audio CD to HDD in cda format

Hi,

I can copy an entire audio CD to CDR and play it with my
HiFi system or in the car; but how to copy the audio CD
to my HDD in cda format so that I can select the music
and burn them to CDR in cda format?
I have browsed the CD and tried copy and paste but it
only copied the tracks but not the music. I have Nero 5.5
and Clone CD 5.0(I have not yet installed the Virtual CD)

CDA are merely pointers, and not actually files. CD Audio is in a file format
that the PC does not understand, so it must be converted. Use CDex, a FREE
CD-ripper and audio converter. You can use it to rip CDs to WAV files, or
convert CDs to MP3, all with one-click. If you are using Nero 5.5, then it
should do the ripping for you. Make sure you have the latest version of Nero
installed, that includes Nero Express (5.5.10.54). Choose "Music" and then
"Audio CD", and then follow the instructions.
